The automatic backwash drainer removes suspended solids, dirt, and debris from a variety of different water streams. Raw water enters the inlet chamber and flows through the strainer element. Debris is retained on the face of the strainer element as the filtrate exits from the strainer outlet. Backwash mode is initiated by a differential pressure switch or an interval timer. This ensures that each element is cleaned carefully as a small amount of strained water reverses flow. Any collected debris is flushed through the backwash valve.
