Arsenic is a naturally occurring contaminant found in groundwater. The two most commons forms found are Arsenite (As III) and Arsenate (As V). Arsenite is more soluble in the water which is why it is oxidized before the filtering process to provide better removal. The different treatment processes include coagulation/filtration, adsorptive media, ion exchange, and membrane processes. Each method provides different advantages and limitations which are influenced by factors taken into account from each customized case. These systems are available for a wide range of flows from 50-5000gpm.
